Below is some information on camps being held this summer at Central State University.
Summer Transportation Institute (STI) for high school students is from June 13 to July 9. The purpose of the Institute is to create awareness and stimulate interest in high school students to take full advantage of the opportunities that exist in the transportation industry.
High Achievers Summer Bridge Program from June 13 to July 9 is for incoming freshmen. High school seniors who are committed to pursuing educational opportunities in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) majors at Central State University are eligible to participate in this program. The program is designed to give students the basic tools needed to succeed in their respective programs during their freshman year at College.
The CSUATK Pre-Engineering Program (CAPEP) is a four-week residential program (June 13 thru July 9) designed to introduce high school upperclassmen to various engineering disciplines and careers and the STEM knowledge that is required to be successful. It is designed to create awareness and stimulate interest in rising 11th and 12th grade secondary school students to prepare them for various engineering fields.

W.E.B. DuBois Culturally Competent Talented Tenth S.T.E.M. Education Academy - June 13 through June 25, 2010A two-week, all male residential camp targeting African American males that will be going into the 9th and 10th grades in the fall of 2010. Students experience economics, entrepreneurship, math, science, engineering and technology concepts in addition to study skills. Registration deadline is May 1, 2010. ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Summer Science Camp - June 13 through June 25, 2010
This camp is a two-week residential camp. EMBHSSC program is designed to enhance the middle school learning experience and to increase the pursuit of studies in science, technology, mathematics and engineering disciplines. This is a total scholarship program. The camp is limit to 48 students. Students must have an A-B average in math and science and a - B average overall. Registration deadline is May 1, 2010. W.E.B. DuBois Talented Tenth S.T.E.M. Education Academy - July 5 through July 16, 2010
A two-week summer program for high school students currently in grades 10, 11 and 12 that have an interest in S.T.E.M. and attending Central State University. Students will be engaged in learning science, technology, engineering, math, finance, entrepreneurship and study skills. Registration deadline is June 7.
