Showcase, Update
Just a reminder of our Eighth Grade Showcase tonight from 6:00-7:30. Hope that many of you can attend.
Also, any parent that is interested can attend one of two school update session with me: One will begin at 5:45, and the other will begin at 7:15. Both sessions will be identical and last no longer than 30 minutes.

Summer Camps

Below is some information about upcoming summer camps at The Ohio State University for any girls interested. Be sure to check out the links below if you are interested in attending any of these.

The Women in Engineering Program at the Ohio State University is pleased to announce
the release of the WiE Summer Camp Applications!
This year, our summer programs (for those currently in grades 7-11) will be based upon first come-first serve IF the applicant meets the minimum criteria. For more information, please view the camps websites (list below) or go to WiE’s website: http://wie.osu.edu/content/wie-pre-college-programs .
WiE GROW, sponsored by Scotts Miracle-Gro, is a five-day, non-residential summer program designed to introduce middle school girls to the exciting world of engineering and to ignite their interest in an engineering-related career. Female students currently enrolled in grade 7 are eligible to apply. Dates for WiE GROW 2011 are from 8:30am-6:00pm starting on Monday, August 8th until Friday, August 12th. Just a reminder of the upcoming events at DRSS...
On Monday, January 10, remember to eat at Chick-Fil-A for the DRSS fundraiser. We have copies of the flyer you need to provide so that a percentage of your bill goes to DRSS.
On Tuesday, January 11, from 5:30-6:30, we have our next DRSS Parents meeting. Some items on the agenda include a curriculum update from Mrs. Tash and an update about the permanent facility. All DRSS parents are welcome to attend.
